Bodog Loses $10 Million

Bodog, yesterday’s gambling giant, has managed to make headlines once again and this time it’s due to a decision reached by a federal believe to relinquish $10 the multitude of the fellowship’s funds. The illegal online gambling force has been in the spotlight due to its eccentric owner Calvin Ayre, who has managed to attract the U.S. government’s attention through his “Look At Me” antics.

A U.S. judge, in Baltimore signed an order earlier this month allowing the U.S. government to keep $9.67 million of the $9.87 seized. The remaining amount was to be given to Edward Courdy, who was the possessor of the bank accounts. Mr. Courdy is currently facing criminal charges for money laundering tied to this case.

This was the second forfeiture ordered by a federal court; the last person was back in 2008 when courts ordered $14.2 million to be seized from accounts tied to Bodog. The organization is currently under investigation and the owner, Calvin Ayre, who once sought heed from the universe, is currently in hiding somewhere unascertained where he be able to’t exist touched by extradition laws.
