iMEGA To Challenge UIGEA

The U.S. 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals has alerted lawyers for the Interactive Media & Gaming Association (iMega) that their case which challenges the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) will finally be heard. The UIGEA, released back in 2006 restricted any online gambling transactions from centre of life processed in the U.S. otherwise than that was never clear on the process.  iMega hopes to bring up

In a letter sent to iMega lawyers, the capsule is publicly on schedule against July 6, 2009 in Philadelphia, PA and is on file as iMega v. Attorney-General USA.

“We’re surpassingly pertinent the Court is moving willing on this, and we’re confident the Court will consider the real-world effect of the law, regardless of the DOJ’s opposition,” said Joe Brennan Jr., iMEGA’s chairman.

iMega is a professional organization that works to support new projects and advancements on the Internet. Since the release of the UIGEA, iMega has worked to open lines of communication with the Federal Government concerning the UIGEA. They’ve now opened the door and the be reckoned is set for July 6, 2009.
